Physiotherapy and Pilates for a range of common problems
Amongst the most common problems we treat across every age group are back, neck, shoulder and knee pains. In healthcare these are all known as musculoskeletal disorders.
Musculoskeletal problems can occur for a variety of reasons. You may have altered biomechanics from years of over activity or due to a previous injury. Playing sports, poor posture at work, and overuse or repetitive strain doing a manual job are all common scenarios.
Injuries can occur at any time. It could be that ill-advised final run on your ski holiday, a slip or a poor tackle on the hockey pitch. Doing the DIY or gardening can result in back or shoulder pain. Or you might be overloading your body at your cross-fit class or lifting weights at the gym.
Physiotherapy can help you return to the best version of yourself as quickly as possible. Pilates classes complement physiotherapy treatment in all these areas.

Physiotherapy for sports injuries
From triathletes and runners training for big events, to footballers who refuse to hang up their boots, we treat a range of sporting and soft tissue injuries. We also welcome children aged 8+ with both traditional sports injuries and those of a different kind, usually neck and shoulder pain and repetitive strain caused by too much playing time on their X-box or PlayStation!
Physiotherapy for degenerative conditions
Ageing often comes with additional aches and pains. But you don’t have to live with high levels of pain or discomfort. We treat older clients with degenerative issues who might be struggling with poor mobility or balance, as well as those suffering with chronic pain, orthopaedic conditions and arthritis. We also run weekly Pilates for the over-70s, and seated and balance classes.
Physiotherapy for home and office workers
Poor posture, stiff hip joints, headaches, neck and back pain are common complaints we see in people who work from home. Since the increase in flexible working, we’ve seen clients present with nerve pains in arms and legs, frozen shoulders, finger and wrist pain, repetitive strain injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Physiotherapy for post-operative rehabilitation
Clients are often referred to us by their consultant after having surgery and for post fracture rehabilitation. Physiotherapy is tailored to the individual to help build strength and movement and get you back on your feet.

Physiotherapy for antenatal and postnatal conditions
Pregnancy increases pressure on the joints and can cause pain in the back, hips and pelvis. Both physiotherapy and Pilates help women to work on their core strength and postural alignment throughout and after pregnancy.
